Rachel Kitchlew is a British harpist. Her session work and live performances encompass a wide range of genres. Rachel’s solo compositions use loops and atmospheric effects to create layers and textures of rhythmic ambient music.

As a session musician, I’ve collaborated with notable artists such as Alexis Taylor (Hot Chip), Robohands, Vegyn, François Kevorkian, Matthew Halsall, Jasmine Myra, Sholto, Matters Unknown, Ideophone, Alice Boyd, and Yoshika Cowell.

My work spans live performances at major venues like Glastonbury Festival, The Roundhouse, The Barbican, and Alexandra Palace. As well as contributions to albums, live performances, and film soundtracks. Recently, I recorded for the film score of Timestalker for the composer duo Toy Drum.

I’ve also performed internationally at the Montreux, Montreal, Stockholm, and Vlieland Jazz Festivals, accompanying Jasmine Myra, Matthew Halsall, and Robohands.

I recorded harp for Alexis Taylor's Beach Boys cover of A Day In The Life Of A Tree, alongside Alice Boyd, who contributed beautiful field recordings of toads and Alexis shared recordings of human intervention. It was released via ‘Sounds Rights’ in collaboration with EarthPercent who raises money from the music industry for the most impactful environmental charities.

Most recently, I completed European tours across France and Germany with Sholto, performing in world renowned jazz venues across Europe. I have also performed at venues such as Kantine am Berghain, Faschung, Nefertiti, Parkteatret in Oslo, Club Gretchen, and Paradiso.
